12/10/2026
About

The Warsaw Stock Exchange has confirmed the successful implementation of its new trading system, GPW WATS (Warsaw Automated Trading System), which replaced the previous UTP system on October 5, 2026.

As announced by the WSE on October 9, 2026, the first four trading sessions using the new platform proceeded stably, with no major incidents or unplanned interruptions. During this period, the system processed 1.02 million transactions and 74.4 million orders, with a total turnover on the Main Market reaching PLN 9.4 billion.

The implementation of GPW WATS marks a significant milestone in the modernization of the Polish capital market infrastructure. The new system provides greater efficiency and throughput, while also introducing changes to trading rules.

Please be reminded that the transition from the UTP system to GPW WATS also involves changes to the submission, modification, and execution of orders. These include, among others, market orders (PKC and PCR), price limits, the start and end times of trading sessions, and the rules governing the closing auction phase.
